“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” - MLK Jr.

Even in the face of threats and lynchings, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. never resorted to violence for the fight of equality. Adversity tried to hinder his walk for a better future while regressive crowds aimed to cut off his voice for inclusion, but he never relented. In fact, the danger only emboldened him and his supporters.

So today - especially during this tumultuous time of violence - we celebrate his life, his values, and his unwavering strength. Be kind to your neighbor. Accept the truth with grace. And use your voice whenever you see injustice.
