Neurodiverse Hero: Greta Thunberg - "Asperger's makes me different, and being different is a gift, I would say."
Greta Thunberg was born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2003. When she was eight years old, she started learning about climate change - and decided to become an environmental activist.
In 2018, Greta started striking to make politicians take notice and act to stop global warming. Her strike was picked up by the media, and the word started to spread. Soon enough, thousands of students around the world started striking to protest against climate change. In 2019, over 1.6 million people from 125 countries united to help spread Greta's mission.
Greta has Asperger's syndrome - a condition that affects how people socialise. Although, Greta views her condition as a “superpower!”
We were so inspired by Greta, we dedicated a pin to her: Greta Thunberg's Pin
